"Share
The Feeling" Art Exhibition
Although Special Olympics is a sports training and competition movement, a full
range of artistic, social and cultural experiences such as the art exhibition
is an integral part of the organisation. The Share The Feeling Art Exhibition
will run throughout the month of June, featuring art from Botswana, at Trim
Library, High Street. The exhibition also features exhibits from special needs
units, local schools, artists. This is the first occasion that the Special Olympics
World Games have had an artistic dimension. The objectives of the art exhibition
are threefold - to gather, mount and display artwork by individals with a learning
disability; to invite participation from the whole community; and to raise consciousness
by showing the talents of individuals with a learning disability.
